Decide who would like to do writing for the drama group. Use no more than four people as a writing team.

Get a list of sermon topics several months in advance if writing sermon starters.

Determine the target audience for the drama. Things will be written with different vocabulary and themes for different groups.

Find a Bible reference for your drama. Each drama written should have a Biblical theme.

Set the length of your drama based on your performance time. One page of type-written text equals about 2 minutes of performance time.

- Drama can tell a great story with minimal words, props or staging. Keep your message simple for the most impact.
- Write your drama using the fewest number of characters possible to tell the story. Too many characters in a short period doesn't allow for proper character development.
