How to Write a Checklist for a Wedding Guest Book Attendant
Introduction
Planning a wedding can be very stressful, but you shouldn't let the stress take over one of the best days of your life. Creating checklists and letting each participant of the wedding understand their role will make your wedding day flow more smoothly. The guest book attendant may have a small role, but it is an important one, because they will be the first one to greet all your wedding guests.
Instructions
Difficulty: Easy
Steps
1
Step One
Write down the time that your guest book attendant needs to be at the wedding. Most could be there about an hour or so before the wedding is to begin. Let them know where the guest book and pen will be placed before the wedding begins.
2
Step Two
Tell the guest book attendant where the gift table will be in case guests would like to drop off their wedding gifts.
3
Step Three
Provide a list of the guests who are to attend your wedding to the guest book attendant. This way, they could check off names as guests arrive.
4
Step Four
Write down any other tasks that you would like the guest book attendant to perform that day. Tasks could include collecting coats, gifts and wedding cards. Also include where you would like the guest book attendant to place the guest book once the wedding has concluded.
5
Step Five
Write down a list of answers that any of the wedding guests may ask. Write down the name, time, and place where the reception will be held. Also write down the names of bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls or any other people of the wedding party. This way the information will be available in case anybody should have questions.
6
Step Six
Hand the task list to the wedding guest book attendant with a small gift of thanks and be sure to thank them several times for their help.
Tips & Warnings
- Be sure to let the guest book attendant know what time to be at the wedding. Time is an important issue when it comes to any wedding.
