How to Wear Make Up For The Beach
Introduction
OK, I know this article has been done before, but to be honest, I swear the author hasn't actually followed her own tips when she goes to the beach, I'll explain why as I go through...
Instructions
Difficulty: Easy
Things You'll Need
- Tinted Moisturizer (I recommend Olay Everyday Sunshine or Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturizer)
- Waterproof Mascara (Rimmel Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black is great because it's got a thick fat brush and it's cheap)
- Bronzer (Rimmel Sun Shimmer comes in three different shades, is shimmery and is cheap too)
- Lip gloss
- Liquid eyeliner
Steps
1
Step One
OK, first of all it's important to apply suncream, I agree with that. Many tinted moisturizers contain an SPF factor, so try to find one with at least factor 15, higher if it's a tropical climate. If you can't find one, get a non-greasy sunscreen stick that's especially for the face, so that you can apply moisturizer over the top. Honestly, don't apply foundation. It's nice at first, but the sunscreen makes it a bit greasy, it feels sticky the whole day and if you go in the water, it will come out all blotchy. Not only this, but you won't get any sun on your face at all, so you'll come back home with a tanned body and white face. Seriously, from experience, just fake it for now.

Step Two
Secondly, if you really do feel pale, applying a little bronzer is good, just a little on your cheekbones sweeping upwards and on your forehead, in the places where the sun would get to basically. It's better than foundation because if it comes off its easy to reapply and doesn't become blotchy when in contact with water, it just comes straight off.

Step Three
Now for the eyes - it's difficult to find waterproof eyeliner, well I've never found any, so I devised a way of creating your own. Take the tiny brush of any normal liquid eyeliner, and using a tissue squeeze it clean of any liquid on it. Then, dip it lightly on the end of the wand of the waterproof mascara brush. Then apply it as you would a usual liquid eyeliner. It's ingenious!

Step Four
Now you can apply lashings of waterproof mascara.
5
Step Five
Now keep your lips simple - putting on lipliner and lipstick is going to be a bore throughout the day. Just slick on a clear lipgloss, or a pale lipstick.
Overall Tips & Warnings
- When you come out of the water - don't rub your eyes! It's best to not go underwater, but if you have to, wear goggles.
- This is unrelated to makeup, but if your hair is looking crap, a stylish headscarf tied around like a bandana is so sexy! Team this with a large pair of sunglasses and voila. Beach chic!
- Don't wear sunglasses while sunbathing. Do large white marks mean anything to you?
