Steps

1

Step One

Drive along I-10 east from Tucson and merge onto I-19 south. Exit San Xavier Road and head west, following the sign to the mission. Parking is free.
2

Step Five

Notice the adobe walls of the mission. In some places, the walls are six feet thick, which means the interior stays cool.

7

Step Seven

Come on Sunday and stay for mass. You can enjoy Mariachis and the Tohono O'odham food stands. Try fry bread topped with red chili and beans for an authentic treat.
