How to Use the Playback Controls in iTunes
Introduction
Using the playback controls in iTunes is a great way to set specific preferences to enhance your listening pleasure. Follow these steps to use Playback Controls in iTunes.

Steps

Step One
Open iTunes. Double-click on the iTunes icon located on your computera??s desktop.

Step Two
View the preferences window. To do this, click on "Edit" and scroll down to "Preferences" at the bottom of the edit tab. Click on "Preferences" and take a look at the preferences window.

Click on the "Playback" tab located at the top of the preferences window. This will allow you to view the playback controls where you can make changes.

Step Four
Change the settings of the playback controls. To change the setting of the "Crossfade Playback" and the "Sound Enhancer" controls, you have to click on the corresponding check box and adjust the cursor.

Step Five
Save the control setting by clicking on the "OK" button at the bottom of the window. You can always repeat the steps to adjust the playback controls.

If you would like to play a song, video, audiobook or podcast, click Play/Pause. You can also click this button to pause any of the above.

If you would like to increase the volume, move the Volume slider to the right. Move the Volume slider to the left to decrease the volume.

- In regards to volume, you can click the speaker icon to the left of the slider to mute iTunes. You can resume volume by clicking the speaker icon to the right of the slider.
