Abstaining from sex until marriage is a difficult thing to do but it is also very rewarding. Saving the intimacy of sex to share with only one person in your entire life is a long road to travel but the final destination is worth it all.

Start young because abstinence is best achieved through a lifestyle quite different than the current world view.

Spend time filling your head with encouraging thoughts and simply non-sexual thoughts on a regular basis.

Date people who you know feel the same way about abstinence. Dating someone who does not feel the same way will end badly.

Avoid alcohol and drugs because these substances affect your ability to think straight and may lead to a moment of weakness.
