  • Map

Steps

1

Step One

Order a brochure and sign up for the Manchester newsletter. This can be done via the Manchester Visitor page (see Resources below). The brochure will be sent free to your house, and the newsletter is an email with all the current events.
2

Step Two

Book your accommodation. Manchester is a busy city and you may struggle to find a place to stay during a weekend if you don't book in advance. The link below provides a list of accommodation which can be generally booked online.
3

Step Three

Decide where you want to go. It is recommended that you make an itinerary of what you want to do before you leave. Manchester is a big city with plenty on offer. Spending only a weekend means you'll have to miss out on some things.
4

Step Four

Plan how you are going to get to Manchester. The train and bus stations are in the city centre. From the airport, there are a number of bus services that can be taken into the city.
5

Step Five

Take the local transport around the city. There is a free bus service in the centre of Manchester going to all the major tourist attractions. They also have trams, other bus services and trains. A combination day ticket provides unlimited travel on the three forms of transport.
