Press "Jog." When pressing "Jog" on the Sony DVP-CX850D, it will pause.

Overall Tips & Warnings
- When turning the click shuttle, adjust the rotation to the desired level to be able to identify the frames.
- Turning the click shuttle at a constant speed will determine the playback speed to be slow or normal.
- The jog light is on during jog mode .If you press "Jog" and do not turn the click shuttle in approximately 20 seconds, it will return to shuttle mode.
- When you open the Sony DVP-CX850D CD/DVD Player, the frame-by-frame mode is automatically cancelled. This happens also when the device is in standby.
- There are some DVDs that do not allow frame-by-frame play.
