How to Plan a Weekend at the Frome Festival

Introduction

The Frome festival spreads itself across the town of Frome and surrounding villages at a total of 32 venues and over a period of 10 days. Between the July 6 and 15 it showcases comedy from Paul Merton and Ken Dodd with a wide range of activities from the worlds of literature, music and the arts.

Step One

Check out the Frome Festival website (link below).

Step Two

Decide which event(s) you would like to see. There are 32 venues, but the main events include a short story competition, classical music, comedy, jazz, workshops and a variety of talks. A full list is up on the website along with the prices.

Step Three

Book your tickets. For this festival you need to pay for each individual event. Download a booking form from the website, write the down the events you want to see and send it off with a check for the appropriate amount. Alternatively you can ring the box office on 01373 455420.

Step Four

Plan how to get there. Frome is a market town in the county of Somerset. If you thinking about driving follow the AA link below for directions. Otherwise the nearest station is in the town itself.

Step Five
