How to Make a Road Trip Mix CD

Introduction

If you are heading out on a long road trip, you should take along some music that will help you pass the time. If you are tired of your same old CDs, consider making a road mix. Follow these steps.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Steps

1

Step One

Compose a list of all the songs that you are considering putting on your road mix. Download your selections from Napster or iTunes.
2

Step Two

Choose all of your favorites. A great road mix will have songs that you never grow tired of listening to.
3

Step Three

Pick songs that you can sing along to. Avoid techno music and jazz.
4

Step Four

If you're going to be on the road during the summer, choose songs that remind you of the warm weather or have summer in their title. Some examples include: "Summertime" by DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, "Summer of '69" by Bryan Adams and "Summer Girls" by LFO.
5

Step Five

Stay within a genre. Make a road trip mix CD with all country songs, classic rock songs or pop songs. Too many different music types may not appeal to everyone going on the road trip.
6

Step Six

Organize the songs on your computer ahead of time. Check running time and decide on the best song order.
