Practice tracing this same character over and over until you think you can do it on your own. Then, try it without tracing. You may be surprised at how well you do.

Purchase a good book on drawing comic book characters. Believe it or not, there are lots of books on the topic. Books such as this one will take you step by step through the process of drawing well-known comic book characters as well as creating your own. Step Four
Practice with a friend. Learning to draw comic book characters with a friend is not only fun, it is helpful. When you have a friend nearby, you can ask for help with parts of the drawing that are difficult for you and you can also act as sounding boards for each other, critiquing the quality of one another's drawings and pointing out areas for improvement.

Take a drawing class. Signing up for a class in basic drawing techniques at your local community college or art school will help you improve the quality and appearance of your comic book characters.
