How to Delete All of the Stored Images on Your Celestron Vistapix 8x32 Binocular and 3.2mp Digital Camera

Introduction

Deleting stored images from the memory of your camera is one of the best ways to ensure effective storage control. Without the ability to add and erase photos, your camera's memory would be little more than a glorified film spool. In the Celestron Vistapix, you have the ability to erase images one by one, or all at once. This allows you to free up space in your camera's memory.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Steps

1

Step One

Turn on the Celestron Vistapix 8x32 binocular and 3.2mp digital camera by pressing and holding the "On" button for 3 or 4 seconds.
2

Step Two

Press the "Menu" button, which is located on the face of the unit, to select the top level menu screen.
3

Step Three

Scroll down to select playback mode using the up and down buttons. This will allow you to look through the thumbnails and images you have captured.
4

Step Four

Browse through the thumbnail images to confirm that you want to delete all files, and select one of the photographs.
5

Step Five

Scroll to the erase option from the photo menu and confirm. Select "Erase All" and confirm to delete all the stored images.

Overall Tips & Warnings

  • Make a backup of your most cherished photos. Transfer any photos you want to keep to your computer via a USB connection.
  • Make sure you do want to delete everything stored in your Vistapix memory. After you have confirmed the delete, you will be unable to retrieve the files. Before confirming the "Delete All" option, scroll through the thumbnails to make certain that there isn't anything you want to keep.
