Introduction
Using an Internet fax program can eliminate the need for a fax machine and a dedicated line for receiving faxes. However, it does take a little getting used to in order to get the hang of sending faxes in the way you're used to. Follow these short instructions to create a cover page for Internet faxes.

Step One
Connect to the Internet. Fax-to-email and email-to-fax programs do not work, nor can they be downloaded without an Internet connection of some kind.

Step Two
Download an Internet fax program. They tend to have a monthly fee of about $10, and can be found by performing an Internet search for a??Internet fax.a??

Step Three
Open your Internet fax program. Some programs have cover sheet tools built into them. If this is the case, click the icon for the cover sheet tool and follow onscreen instructions.

Step Four
Create your own online fax cover page. If your tool does not include a cover page tool, you can download one.

Step Five
Add your cover page to your Internet fax. This will be probably done automatically if the tool is built into your Internet fax program.

Send your fax along with its new cover page.
Overall Tips & Warnings
- Send a test fax to yourself or to another email address you have access to so you know the received fax is what you intended.
- Buy your Internet fax program. Unless you are willing to have ads added to your faxes or only want to send a fax or two a day, you'll have to pay for the service.
- If you're computer is turned off or your Internet connection is severed for some reason, you will not be able to send or receive faxes.
