Introduction

On a Web page, you may want to display your company's fourth-quarter sales earnings or your chocolate consumption tally spreadsheet. Do this using the FrontPage Editor. This tutorial uses FrontPage 97.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Steps

1

Step One

Start the FrontPage program and open an existing web.
2

Step Two

Choose Show FrontPage Editor from the Tools menu, or click on the FrontPage Editor icon on the toolbar. This will open the FrontPage Editor.
3

Step Three

Click on the File menu and choose Open. Click on the Other Location tab.
4

Step Four

Click on the From File radio button and choose Browse to locate the file on your hard drive. In the dialog box, choose the "Files of type" drop-down menu and change it to Excel Files (.xls or .xlw) or the type of spreadsheet you are using.
5

Step Five

Locate the file and click OK.
6

Step Six

Choose the From Location radio button to use a file located on the Internet. Type the URL and click OK. Make sure the URL ends in with the appropriate spreadsheet extension.
7

Step Seven

Make any desired changes and save the page when finished.
8

Step Eight

Preview the page in a Web browser by choosing Preview in Browser from the File menu. From the dialog box, choose which browser to use and what settings.
