How to Buy A.A. Milne Books
Introduction
On December 24, 1925, the London Evening News published a story called "Winnie-the-Pooh." It eventually became the first chapter of the book. The famous Christopher Robin was patterned after Milne's son. Dorothy Parker absolutely despised "The House at Pooh Corner" - and then the book promptly sold even faster than "Winnie-the-Pooh."

Difficulty: Easy
Steps
1
Step One
Look for a copy of the 1924 "When We Were Very Young," the book that established Milne as a children's writer. The hardcover version was reissued in 1988; a paperback came out in 1992.
2
Step Two
Find "A Gallery of Children," which is a collection of kids' stories not featuring the Pooh gang. This book was originally published in 1925.
3
Step Three
Drag out that old tape recorder and listen to "Now We Are Six" on cassette. This second collection of children's verse came out in 1927.
4
Step Four
Meet Tigger for the first time in the 1928 "The House at Pooh Corner."
5
Step Five
Try Milne's 1939 autobiography, which was first titled "It's Too Late Now" and then changed to "Autobiography." His final book was a collection of essays called "Year In, Year Out." It first came out in 1952.

Step Six
Create a challenge with a translation: "Winnie-the-Pooh" has been published in Bulgarian, Chinese, French, Hebrew, Portuguese, Esperanto and 28 other languages.
