How to Be Featured on the Jumbo Screen at a Professional Baseball Game

Introduction

Just admit it already! One of the best parts of attending a professional baseball game is watching all the action on the big screen. If youa??re one of those extroverts clamoring for your five minutes of fame, this guide is for you!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You'll Need

  • tickets to a game
  • revealing clothing &/or body paint
  • cute kid
  • sign
  • rhythm ... mmmm, maybe not
  • TIVO

Steps

1

Step One

Purchase tickets in seating areas where cameras are generally located. Anywhere along the baseline is prime seating for getting your mug up on the screen.
2

Step Two

Dress to impress in home team colors. For ladies, low cut halters and booty shorts give you an edge. For guys, a painted face and/or chest is better than the average ball cap and tee.
3

Step Three

Bring an adorable child with you, preferably with a logo or mascot painted on their cheek. Put a little flag in their hand or draw a logo on their sippy cup.

As you can see, the sign doesn't even have to be that great ...

Make a sign. If you cleverly reference the broadcasting stationa??s call letters, you could even make prime time.

This guy is raisin' the roof ...

Dance anytime you hear music, even if it's just somebody's cell phone ringing. Think exaggerated versions of Shakira or Elaine from Seinfeld. Or you can opt for going old school with a funky Roger Rabbit or Cabbage Patch.
6

Step Six

Finally, make a huge ass of yourself trying to catch a foul ball. Fall over seats, spill your drink, or better yet, snatch it away from an elderly person or child. Extra points for catching a ball in play.

Overall Tips & Warnings

  • If you go early in the season and during bad weather when attendance is low, even an average person has a greater chance of making the screen.
  • The general rule of thumb to making the big screen is being extremely hot, cute, or goofy.
  • Dona??t forget to TIVO the game in case youa??re broadcast on television.
