Introduction

You can't buy ringtones directly from the iTunes Store. Instead, you first must buy the song you want the ringtone from and then use iTunes’ built-in ringtones editor to create and buy the new ringtone.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy Time Required: 1-5 minutes

Steps

1

Step One

Go to the iTunes Store.
2

Step Two

Search for whatever artist, album, or song you’re looking for in the way you normally would.
3

Step Three

When you are looking at a list of songs, you can reveal the ringtones column in one of two ways. You can choose "View Options" from the "View" menu and check the ringtones box or you can right-click the bar in the iTunes Store that reads "Name," "Time," "Artist," etc. and click on the Ringtones option.
4

Step Four

Either way, a new column will be added, with a bell icon. This is the ringtone column. If there is a bell icon in the column, that means the song can be made into a ringtone. If there’s no icon, you’ll need to wait until Apple further updates the music store.
