Introduction

Diane Sawyer recently did a piece for 20/20 that highlighted the day to day life of underprivileged children in Camden , NJ. Camden is one of the poorest cities in the United States and many of the children do not have the bare necessities to survive and thrive. An organization called Urban Promise is helping out in a big way by 1) generating awareness of the problems in Camden, NJ, 2) craeting programs to assist these unfortunate children and their families and 3) providing a vehicle for donors to give their time and money to help out.

Steps

Step One

Go to the Urban Promise website and click on the "Get Involved" tab.

Step Two

Select the program that best fits your time and money budget. You can volunteer to help with events, sponsor a child or supply items on the organizations "wish list" just to name a few things.

Step Three

Spread the word and generate awareness within your network of friends and family. Tell at least 3 other people about Urban Promise and ask them to do the same.

Step Four

Feel good that you have helped out someone in need.
