Manga is Japanese comics that is put into chapters. There are a ton of mangas out there for all kinds of interests. There are adventure ones (One Piece), ones based on folk tales (Dragon ball), ones based on ninjas (Naruto), and ones based on spirits and death (Bleach). Whatever you're interests are you will find a manga that is perfect for you.

Things You'll Need
- You will not need that much, but here are a list of things that can help you do this much faster.
- 1. A bookstore so you can look to see what you think looks cool, most bookstores allow you to read their materials to see if you like it.
- Internet, you can read reviews on different mangas and than see which ones at a glance you like. www.shonenjump.com is a really good site.
- 3. Money, manga collecting can get expensive, a volume is 8 bucks and you can subscribe to Shonen Jump for half off the bookstore price, $30.
- 4. You need to be able to read, duh.
- 5. You need to be able to make up your mind. This is as close as it get's for help.

Step One
Go to a bookstore and look in the graphic novel section, start looking at the covers and names to see if any look interesting or you have heard about them or seen their TV show.

Try the manga that looks good and start reading some of it, don't read to much or the bookstore people might get mad.

Step Three
Go onto the internet and see if you can find reviews on the manga, I can almost guarantee you will.

Step Four
Start out buying one volume and maybe a year subscription to a manga magazine. Than start buying more as you get more interested.
Overall Tips & Warnings
- You can always sell the volumes on ebay if you end up not liking them. But I suggest once you start to keep going.
- Try Naruto and Dragon Ball, their my favorites.
- You read from right to left in manga volumes because it would take a lot of work for the publishing companies to change all that just for America and the English speaking countries.
- You may end up devoting a lot of time and money into this, so be sure you want to do this before you start.
