Introduction
Everyone likes to receive a pat on the back for a job well done. Lodging a complaint is not the only time to write a letter to a hotel. When service met or exceeded your expectations, it's appropriate to let the manager know. The positive feedback will help a hotel manager know what his or her staff is doing right and reward employees for a job well done.
Instructions
Difficulty: Easy
Steps
1
Step One
Think about the service you received. Review how room service, housekeeping, bell hops and accommodations were. Ask your travel companions how they viewed your hotel stay.
2
Step Two
Make a list of points you want to convey. Write a rough draft with all major areas you wish to compliment the hotel on. Recall if checking in was quick and easy. If you enjoyed exercise facilities or a pool make note of that. Keep in mind any hotel restaurants you dined in.
3
Step Three
Single out staff. Put the names and titles of any particular staff member you wish to thank or compliment. If someone went out of their way to provide you with good service or make your stay more pleasant it's nice to let them know it was appreciated.
4
Step Four
Call the hotel. Ask who to address the letter to. Some hotels have a director of guest relations others may have you address the letter to a manager. You want the letter in the right hands to allow those in charge a chance to praise their staff. Be sure to have the correct address to mail it to.
5
Step Five
Send a copy to corporate offices. If the hotel where you received great service is part of a franchise or chain sending a copy to the main office lets superiors know how individual hotels are doing. Go to the hotels website for information on their corporate office.
