Introduction
Star Ocean III is a Role-Playing Game published by the Square-Enix company in 2005. Not entirely necessary to the story is Item Creation, which can be accessed in the Trading Town of Peterny. Item Creation allows you to do what it sounds like, in seven different areas: Alchemy, Compounding, Cooking, Crafting, Engineering, Smithery, and Writing. It is the only way to access some items in the game (like most stronger armours/weapons).
Instructions
Difficulty: Easy
Steps
1
Step One
Play the game through until you reach Peterny. You don't have to do anything but make it to the town for Item Creation to be unlocked.
2
Step Two
Play through the event where you split up. Then from the centre of the town, head over to the west.
3
Step Three
Look for the first green arrow on the map. Head towards the building it belongs to and go inside.
4
Step Four
Familiarize yourself with your surroundings and the girl behind the counter. It's likely you'll be talking to her a lot if you plan on playing with Item Creation and making several things. Her name is Welch Vineyard.
5
Step Five
Talk to Welch. Tell her that you're interested in Item Creation.
6
Step Six
Pick the second option, and you will be told nearly every basic step there is to Item Creation. You will also be given 1000 Fol for start-up and the Telegraph. You have now unlocked Item Creation and are able to start creating in Star Ocean III.
Tips & Warnings
- To begin playing with Item Creation right away, simply head across the street to the empty workshop and add a line. You can use the playable characters you have available to you at that point on a line.
- The West side of Peterny contains the major shops. Not only can you start Item Creation, but you can find a few odds and ends for sale to take on the rest of your journey in Star Ocean III.
- When you first start Item Creation, you will not be able to do much. There are inventors for hire that add incredible skills for making nearly everything. Each one possesses a certain outstanding ability in one area of item creation.
